David Nolan Gallery is pleased to participate in Art Basel Miami Beach 2016 (Booth B6) with a lively display of artists associated with the gallery. Artists presented include Richard Artschwager, Georg Baselitz, William N. Copley, Steve DiBenedetto, Carroll Dunham, Neil Gall, David Hartt, Mel Kendrick, Barry Le Va, Jonathan Meese, Wardell Milan, Jim Nutt, Christina Ramberg, Serban Savu, Gavin Turk, Jorinde Voigt, and Ray Yoshida.
In one section of the booth a 1989 sculpture study by Le Va forms a dialogue with two new sculptures by Kendrick, while further cross-generational exchanges occur through adjacent displays of paintings by Meese, graphite on paper portraits by Nutt, and an important group of drawings by Dunham.
The gallery program's ongoing focus on the interchange between German and American art, is played out elsewhere in the booth in a juxtaposition between a 2006 "Remix" watercolor by Baselitz and a new large-scale drawing by Milan. Also presented are recent works by Voigt, including drawings from her current series, "Song of the Earth."
