David Nolan Gallery is pleased to participate in Frieze New York, 2015 (Booth D23) for the second time. Highlights of our presentation will include important sculptures by Richard Artschwager and Mel Kendrick, and satirical drawings by George Grosz. A large-scale collage by Barry Le Va is paired with an illusionistic drawing by Neil Gall, whose work is currently on view at the gallery. In advance of his solo exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago (opening in June), we will present a photograph by David Hartt, and in addition, recent works by Wardell Milan, Jim Nutt and Jorinde Voigt will be on display.
For more information about the fair, including directions and ticketing information, please visit the Frieze Art Fair website.
To coincide with Frieze week, we will host a book launch at the gallery on Friday, May 15, celebrating the publication of Jorinde Voigt: Ludwig van Beethoven Sonatas 1-32. A discussion between the artist and Robert Taub, a leading concert pianist renowned for his recordings and performances, will begin at 7pm.
