September 7 – October 28, 2017
Extended through November 4, 2017

From September 7 through November 4, David Nolan Gallery is pleased to present a selection of architectural drawings by Louis I. Kahn (1901–1974). Enigmatic, monumental, and outwardly material, Kahn’s buildings rank among the most significant of the 20th century. Our presentation will comprises drawings relating to a number of key New York and other East Coast projects. These include various family houses in Pennsylvania, the Barge for the American Wind Symphony, and Kahn's final project, the Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park.
Our exhibition coincides with a major traveling exhibition, Louis Kahn: The Power of Architecture (organized by the Vitra Design Museum), which will be on view at The Fabric Workshop and Museum, Philadelphia through November 5, 2017.
