Art Week Miami 2024 kicks off with the promise of an unparalleled burst of creativity, where contemporary art , culture and innovation come together in an unmistakable celebration in the “Magic City.”

This year, Miami welcomes artists, curators and art lovers from around the world in an edition that promises not only to highlight the most avant-garde, but also to bring the public closer to a unique sensorial experience. In addition to the main fair, Miami Art Week offers a series of unmissable satellite fairs, such as SCOPE Art Show and NADA Miami , which celebrate everything from emerging art, a good dose of Latin American art , to innovative exhibitions in unexpected formats.

David Nolan Gallery | Booth E6

David Nolan Gallery’s 26th international participation at Art Basel will reflect the diversity of its global programme. Highlights include an installation of erotic works on paper displayed in a reserved, mysterious space within the stand.

The installation will feature works by artists such as William Copley, Carroll Dunham, George Grosz, Jim Nutt, Wardell Milan, Malcolm Morley, Albert Oehlen, Erwin Pfrang, John Tweddle, Sandra Vásquez de la Horra and Ray Yoshida. In addition, new paintings by Vian Sora, who distills in abstract and gestural form her experience of growing up under the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein, and a selection of works from the 1960s and 1970s by Georg Baselitz, will be presented.

The exhibition will also include sculptures by Chakaia Booker, known for her innovative use of recycled tires to address political and social issues, such as patterns on tires that refer to African scarification and the exploitation associated with the automotive industry. There will also be new paintings by Paulo Pasta, a leading light in Brazilian constructive art, whose works are present in museums such as MASP, and the first gallery show by Guatemalan-born artist Rodolfo Abularach, focusing on his fascination with the human eye.
